I’m still fairly new to blogging and don’t have a huge amount of recipes to point at on the blog right now – but I’m working on it! I love cooking and I have a whole repository of recipes to prepare, but each post is a lot of work and I may never get to all the recipes I want to share.
But when it comes to the Instant Pot, there are so many fantastic recipes – some are mine and some belong to the brilliant minds of other bloggers that I love. And sure, a lot of these recipes I could re-write, change it up slightly, and call them my own but I’m a firm believe in giving credit where credit is due and not re-inventing the wheel when the wheel is already perfect. Here are my top 10 favorite Instant Pot recipes, in no particular order. They really are spectacular.
My Top 10 Favorite Instant Pot Recipes
- Instant Pot Jasmine Rice
The majority of my favorite recipes are the “basic” recipes. When you have the basics down, you can do almost ANYTHING! Rice in an Instant Pot is amazing and it makes life so easy. My 15 year old son and my 13 year old son will make this recipe on their own so often that I have had to get a huge bag of Jasmine rice from Costco. My family only eats Jasmine rice, so this is my go to for the Instant Pot, but there are links to their Brown Rice recipe and Basmati rice recipe as well. - 2 Minute Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs
In any social media groups for the Instant Pot, you will hear people talking about the 6,6,6 method (6 minute cook, 6 minute natural release, 6 minute ice bath) and variations on it. I used those methods and they were okay, but then I found this recipe and it is unbelievable. Perfect eggs, every time AND the egg shells just slide off. - Instant Pot Classic Italian Lasagna
When I wrote this recipe, I was adapting the lasagna recipe that I make in the oven for the Instant Pot. My kids request my lasagna when they come home from any vacation and because I spoil them rotten, I always give in and make it. Since converting this recipe into an Instant Pot, I do it ALL the time for them and it isn’t a long arduous process as usual. - Instant Pot Shredded Chicken
This is the best basic chicken I can give you. Cook your chicken this way – then throw it in a casserole, in a stir fry, or a salad. This is a life saving recipe when you have people coming and you need something quick – AND, you can do it from frozen. - Dr Pepper Instant Pot Pulled Pork
The owner of this blog Carla is a dear friend and her recipe for pulled pork with the sweet Dr Pepper added in is a revelation. I can’t drink Dr Pepper – to me it tastes like carbonated prune juice, but when cooked with meat in a savor recipe like this, it caramelizes into the perfect sauce. Another fast recipe that the family just loves. - Instant Pot Sweet Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes are my favorite super food. Sometimes I just get the deepest craving for one, but I hate baking them because they take so dang long to cook! This is my go-to recipe for sweet potatoes and served with a little butter – kicks any craving I have to the curb. - Sweet Potato Chipotle Chili
This is my favorite Chili recipe, hands down. It is healthy, full of flavor and so delicious. Not to mention, it has sweet potato in it. My friend Amelia, who has a picky husband (I’m looking at you Todd), substituted butternut squash in and it was delicious. She did suggest decreasing the liquid simply because the squash is wetter than the potatoes. - Ooey-Gooey Bacon Onion Jam
Bacon Onion Jam is a fantastic condiment that can spruce up so many recipes. Just put it in your eggs and you’ll die and go to heaven. YUM! - Pressure Cooker Creamy Tuscan Garlic Chicken
I love the flavors of Tuscany. And when it comes to a tried and true Instant Pot recipe, this one takes the cake. Go on ANY social media group for the Instant Pot and ask about it and you’ll get glowing reviews. Make this and make it soon. - Instant Pot Chocolate Mint Cheesecake
The mint in this is spectacular… but it is the chocolate that makes it my favorite. This is the basic chocolate base I use for all my chocolate cheesecakes. Leave the mint off and you can make the best chocolate cheesecake of your life.
